To become a DAV Volunteer Driver:
Volunteer Services will require a simple annual physical/eye test,(eye chart). Background check including fingerprints. Short videos on HIPPA, Drivers rights, patients rights, and a simple read and select correct answer related to fleet card purchases for van gas, and maintenance.
- DAV Drivers are NOT required to have Covid 19 and must have a seasonal Flu shot documented and on file (during flu season?).
- All former DAV DRIVERS have retired when they felt their driving days are over.
(from Jennifer: You scare the crap out of our veteran(s), you be flying in your own car alone.
- Current drivers license, and an up to date insurance card, with copies on file will be required.
To be a Private Volunteer Driver has less requirements, similar responsibilities.
* Time with a Veteran can be PRICELESS. *
*As of the end of October 2023 - 14,000 miles have been logged transporting our veterans! *
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOO!
There are more and more veterans who need help with transportation.
Thank you for your consideration and time serving
those that have served US/us!

Thank you all for your service!
Roger Kiesey began Lincoln County Veterans Coffee Talk in early 2011 with a small group of veterans meeting once per week at the Troy McDonald's.
Once they outgrew the space, they were invited to meet at Lincoln County Council on Aging (LCCOA).
Lincoln County Veterans Coffee Talk meets each Thursday from 9-10am,
LCCOA opens their doors at 8am.
Each week, over 100 veterans gather to learn about local veteran events and community opportunities are shared, unless there's holiday or inclement weather.
One important message shared, be involved with your community or local Veteran Organization.
Lincoln County Veterans Coffee Talk became a 501c3 with LLC in February 2022.
This website is a resource for veterans, their families to find activities and non-profits that offer support.
If you're with a non-profit and would like to be added to our list or have any questions,
